How to apply a patch (step-by-step)

This guide explains how to apply a patch correctly, including placement, skin prep, and simple tips to help it stay on.
Correct application matters. It improves comfort, helps the patch stay secure, and supports a consistent routine.
Choose an area of clean, dry skin

Good options are typically the upper arm, shoulder, upper back, chest, or hip. Choose an area that will not be rubbed by tight clothing.

Prepare the skin

Wash and fully dry the area. Do not apply over cuts, irritation, or broken skin. Avoid oils, moisturisers, or sunscreen before applying (they can reduce adhesion)

Apply the patch

Peel off the backing. Place the patch flat on the skin. Press firmly for 20–30 seconds, especially around the edges

Wear as directed

Wear the patch for up to 24 hours; our 4-layer design is made to release ingredients gradually over that time. Keep routines normal, but avoid direct heat on the patch (heat pads, heated blankets), as heat can affect adhesion.

Remove and dispose

Peel slowly from one edge. Fold the patch in half (adhesive sides together), then dispose of it responsibly.

Placement tips (for comfort and adhesion)

Rotate placement area to reduce skin sensitivity. Avoid high-sweat areas if adhesion is a problem. If edges lift, press firmly again for 10–15 seconds. If irritation occurs, remove the patch and do not reapply to the same area.

Troubleshooting

Skin may be damp, oily, or too hairy. Reapply to a new, clean, dry area. Trim hair if needed (avoid shaving immediately before use).

This can happen with adhesives. Rotate sites and avoid reapplying to the same area. If redness persists, stop use.

Light water exposure is usually fine, but long hot showers, baths, saunas, and heavy sweating can loosen adhesives. If the patch loosens, remove and replace it with a new one.
